Doggie Daycare
“Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet.”
Tails are wagging and pets are bragging
One of WestInn Kennels most popular services is our Daycare program. This service is offered to pets of all shapes and sizes, and we even have programs available for those pets that may not do so well in a group environment. Pets are placed in groups with other dogs of his or her same size and temperament. It’s the ultimate exercise program for your pet, and every month we have a different themed Daycare Party. Add Daycare to your pet’s next boarding reservation, or drop your pet off for just the day – Reservations are needed for daycare services.
Daycare Activities
Jumping, playing, and making memories with their best furry friends- that’s what daycare fun is all about! To participate in group play, pets must be spayed or neutered. If your pup is still intact, don’t worry; we also offer a fantastic alternative program designed just for them so they can still enjoy a safe, fun, and enriching experience at WestInn Kennels.
Puppy Play Dayz
This is a scheduled, supervised play date every Wednesday, that is free for puppies under 6 months of age. Puppies may come to the play dates as often as they would like, up until 6 months of age.
Daycare Themed Days
These are themed days to add more fun to your pups daycare schedule. Themed days can be as simple as a free day for service members to a more elaborate theme that includes a take-home gift. Check the paw-ty schedule or online calendar for more information.
Dog-gone Daycare Paw-ty’s
At our Paw-ties Canine-kids get to participate in extra fun and games! Don’t worry, no dog ever leaves with empty paws. Each month the Howliday will represent a different theme and will include an activity for the dogs to enjoy.

Why Do Dogs Have Rest Time During Daycare?
At WestInn Kennels, daycare is about more than just play; it’s about creating a balanced, safe, and enjoyable experience for every dog. While dogs are not participating in a supervised playgroup, they spend time relaxing in their individual kennel spaces. These scheduled rest periods help prevent overstimulation, reduce stress, and allow dogs to recharge both physically and mentally.
Research has shown that prolonged excitement and activity can increase stress hormones such as cortisol, while periods of recovery and decompression help dogs return to a calmer, more balanced state. Structured play-and-rest cycles are widely recognized as a best practice for maintaining canine welfare and promoting appropriate social interactions.
Not every dog wants, or needs, to play all day. Our team continuously evaluates each dog’s energy level, play style, social preferences, and comfort level. Dogs are rotated in and out of playgroups based on what we observe throughout the day. Some dogs thrive with longer play sessions, while others benefit from shorter outings and additional downtime. We also carefully match playgroups, because not every dog enjoys the same type of interaction or play partner.
Our goal is simple: provide enough activity to keep dogs happy and engaged while ensuring they receive the rest they need to remain safe, comfortable, and successful in daycare.

Hear from our happy customers!
“We have been taking our dogs here for over 10 years and would not take them anywhere else. We have never been disappointed with the care they have received at Westinn Kennels, as opposed to other, larger kennels in the area. The staff is always friendly and courteous, even when they are getting slammed with customers.”
“Reasonably priced, usually a coupon available in the paper. Very knowledgeable and good with my dogs. Truly everything under one roof.”
“We have boarded our dogs at Westinn in Dardenne Prairie for 15 years and love it. As soon as the suitcases come out, our dogs are ready to go. Once inside the office area, they stand waiting at the next door to get back to the kennel area, tails wagging in anticipation. The staff is pleasant, efficient, compassionate and VERY competent.”
“Just picked up my fur babies from their first kennel stay at Westinn B & B in Dardenne Prairie. Full disclosure, someone close to me works there but was not there during my dogs stay. The staff is sweet, knowledgeable, and well trained! My dogs both did great, and as one of them is 15 years old, I was extra nervous for her. She was relaxed and happy when we picked her up. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for their first kennel stay!”
